At Social Media Thunder we like to think differently and embrace opportunities. On a recent visit to Turkey we noticed an unusual spelling of our name on the cup. A quick glance on social media found that we were not alone with #starbucksfail trending.

We approached Starbucks and put forward a strategy to leverage this trend, owning the hashtag and, while making fun of themselves, increase engagement.
