Recognising that the interaction on social media by the university was proving time consuming and laborious, the University of Sussex asked Social Media Thunder to overhaul their social media strategy and provide training to run their channels themselves.

Responding to this request we started with an audit of their community and then developed a strategy on these findings. Most critical it was noted that the social media accounts of the university were primarily used as a broadcast platform and as such current and potential students had a very low engagement rate.

With the strategy in place Social Media Thunder supported the University with implementation including recruitment for their new digital team.
